SEARCH THE INTERNET USING IMAGES AND GRAPHICS.
It is unbelievable to think that one can search the internet using an image and get the desired results. Well, Bing is here with a surprise for us. It is the first ever search engine to introduce Visual Search. (cool right!).
Microsoft’s Bing search engine has introduced a feature where one can now use graphics or images to search for related results.
How it Works.
Let’s say for example for the lovers of interior design. When one is looking for a good design to implement and you get an image showing the perfect design. Within the image, a certain electricity bulb design strikes your eye and you really want to have a similar lighting design for the house. The good news is here, the improved bing allows you to zoom into the image to that particular lighting. The new feature in bing senses that you want to purchase the particular lighting design and automatically searches for similar designs over the internet and gives you a purchase option.
How to search for an object within an image
Once one has found their desired object within an image, bing has a search icon that let’s users drag it to the preferred object and bing automatically searches for similar designs over the internet.
Alternatively, one can draw a box around the object they fancy and have bing automatically search for similar designs and display the designs from which one can purchase the desired object. (Isn’t it great having only to search for an item once and have the search engine search for other similar designs and display them for one to select and purchase the object they loved most?)
Microsoft’s Bing is sure to make a grand-entry with its new features beside paying users for using the search engine http://bionic0101.blogspot.com/2017/06/microsoft-is-now-paying-you-to-use.html. Bing is making sure that its users have a win-win situation. Though visual search is still at its infancy stages, its still sure to take over search using text queries. Technology keeps on changing each day, let’s embrace the fun in searching using images instead of only text queries.
