Begin by first chopping the red onion into very small pieces. Large pieces will make the ball formation difficult.
Then remove the outer skin of the sausage. This will help in enabling you access only the meat part of the sausage.Then mash the sausage meat.
Then next in a bowl, add in your beef minced meat followed with your chopped onions and the mashed sausage meat.
Then add in your spices and salt into the same bowl.
Drizzle in your dark soy sauce over the other ingredients.
Then add in your egg.
Finally add in your breadcrumbs and mix everything together. The mixture should be firm and not wet or sticky. If you find yours sticky add in some little bit more of breadcrumbs.
Then scoop some bit of the mixture and roll into a ball shape. To get the same sized balls, you can use an ice-cream scoop to scoop before rolling to form a ball. Repeat the same until the whole mixture is done.
Next, in a cooking pan, add in the oil and heat it up for 2-3 minutes until moderately hot.
Then add in your meatballs ensuring you do not overcrowd your pan and fry while turning on each side to ensure they are evenly cooked until ready.
Finally remove the meatballs from the pan and drain excess oil on a kitchen towel.
Then serve and enjoy.
