WILDCARD SMOOTHIE

WILDCARD SMOOTHIE

Wildcard smoothie? It was one of those chilly evenings, with the weather changing drastically awaiting the short rains, when I felt I needed something to drink but not the same drinks I have had a number of times. The suddenly, a thought struck me and I was questioning myself what would happen if I brought in two really strong and acidic fruits together and make something out of them? This was a random thought that I had to think through, as I am quite sensitive to too much acidity and I had to think of how I can incorporate my thought while neutralizing the acidic effect.

I then decided to add some mango and the yoghurt to act as a neutralizer, keeping in mind some basic rules in Chemistry I learnt years ago, yeaah some Chemistry does help when in the kitchen at times. But this didn’t seem to spice up my brain. Ha! You might exclaim, how on earth won’t that excite the brain considering it’s already too much of a dare adding the acids together. I thought of adding some cinnamon, honey and chocolate spread onto it to act as my sweeteners.

This turned out to be amazing and one that I would definitely make again and again especially after a tough day and relax away the day’s work load. That’s how my wildcard smoothie came to be.

Disclaimer: If you have ulcers or have a very high acidic sensitivity, this might not be a good fit for your system. However, you can add milk into it, lessen the number of pineapples and omit the oranges and you can enjoy it at your comfort.
