SOY SAUCED FISH FINGERS
Soy sauced Fish Fingers 😋😋. Fish fingers have been one of my favorite meals from the first time I got to taste them. For those who know me perfectly well, they know how much I love fish. Also how much I enjoy playing around with different fish recipes. I recently made this Whole Tilapia Fish in Sour Milk here . If I were to choose three types of meat to live on, they would definitely be chicken, fish, and goat/pork meat. What types of meat would you choose? Let me know in the comment section below.
Being a student, life at times does not allow you to have meat everyday of the semester. However, when you get meat,you make the most out of it. That’s for me. I enjoy popping meat into my kitchen at least once a week. This week, I decided to make fish fingers. Yeap, that’s right and I made it more interesting with my experimental self by making soy sauced fish fingers. The taste that I got at the end of it all was mouth-blowing. I couldn’t let it pass by, without sharing the recipe with you here. As you know, what we always do here is having active hours in the kitchen.
Let’s dive in and prepare this mouth-blowing meal. Trust me,you will love it. Your kids too will love them for this holiday period especially now that Christmas is nearing 😊.
- 1/2 kg of Fish Fillet
- 1/4 tsp of Black Pepper
- 1 tbsp of Dark Soy Sauce
- 1/4 tsp of Cumin Powder
- 1/4 tsp of Garam Masala
- A pinch of Salt
- Some bit of Bread Crumbs
- 1 cup of All Purpose Flour
- 3 Pieces of Eggs
- 1/4 a litre of Cooking Oil
- 1 piece of Lemon
Get your fish fillet and set it on a chopping board.
Cut your fish fillet into strips that are almost the length of your finger.
In a bowl, add in the black pepper, cumin powder, garam masala, salt and dark soy sauce and mix them all together. Pour in the cut fish fingers and mix them inside.
In 3 separate plates or bowls, pour in one, the all purpose flour, in another the breadcrumbs and in the last one, break in and beat the eggs in it.
Remove the pieces of the cut fish fillet one piece at a time and coat each of them with the flour then eggs and finish by coating them with the breadcrumbs. Repeat this procedure for all of them and set them aside.
In a deep fryer or sufuria, pour in the oil and heat it up for about 2 minutes to heat the oil. Once ready, deep in the fish fingers one at a time and cook them until they are golden brown in colour.
Once ready, remove and serve them on a plate with lemon pieces.
Once all pieces are ready, serve them. Serve with lemon pieces/mayonnaise/tartar sauce. You also can liven it up with the sweetest dressings, A Thousand Island. I served mine with lemon, tomato sauce and yoghurt. You can accompany your fish fingers with ugali or French fries(chips) or even rice.
